Makros SRL creates archival systems for the protection and conservation of cultural heritage, therefore parchments, paintings, furnishings, documents.
The clients, from national and international tenders, are mostly institutions: museums, libraries, courts, banks, universities, institutions, ecclesiastical institutes.
Founder and CEO is Massimo Luise. The first patent for fire protection dates back to 2011: Makros is identified worldwide with the Blockfire brand.

There are seven patents made to date between protection from fire, water, bacteria - the main causes of deterioration. The patents, which can be combined with each other, are registered at a European level as well as in China, the United States and Canada.

Makros has numerous installations on the national and international market.
The company makes use of a Technical-Scientific Committee which directs research and development, to which is added a network of around a hundred external professionals – architects, designers, physicists, engineers, biologists and university professors.

Makros exploits the most advanced technologies for the protection and conservation of cultural heritage.
At the beginning of 2023 it was selected by Fassa Bortolo and Symbola - Foundation for Italian qualities for a research that sees it among the 100 excellent companies in Italy in the field of technology applied to culture.
